After its 2006 merger, Walgreens Boots Alliance redesigned European logistics and replaced multiple proprietary replenishment systems. Manhattan Associates Demand Forecasting and Replenishment were selected to forecast 384,000 SKUs, automate order suggestions, and manage exceptions for promotions. The phased rollout covered the UK and later Spain, France, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, and Turkey. Results included lower inventory holdings, fewer stock-outs, sustained service levels, and measurable productivity gains for the planning teams.
