IoT-Enabled Water Infrastructure Monitoring in Antibes Municipality
Case study showing how the City of Antibes uses IoT sensors, SAP Cloud Platform, and SAP Leonardo to monitor water quality and prevent infrastructure failures.
The City of Antibes deployed IoT sensors across 200 miles of water pipeline to collect temperature, salinity, chlorine, and pH data. Information is transmitted securely to SAP Cloud Platform and analyzed with SAP Leonardo to optimize maintenance and avoid breakdowns. The project also established a real-time intrusion detection system and laid groundwork for expanding IoT to public safety camera analytics.
IoT sensors capture 15,000 water network data points per hour for predictive maintenance
SAP Cloud Platform and Leonardo enable secure data transmission and real-time analytics
Real-time intrusion detection protects IoT data streams from tampering
Optimized maintenance schedules reduce costs and improve service reliability
Project serves as model for other municipalities deploying IoT infrastructure
