Case study of Giant Eagle replacing legacy batch systems with Manhattan WMS, TMS, and Labor Management across five grocery DCs.
Giant Eagle consolidated multiple outdated systems into Manhattan Warehouse Management, Labor Management, Transportation Planning, and Extended Enterprise Management. The rollout prioritized complex facilities first and included co-developed grocery features such as priority bumping replenishment, put-to-store, and real-time tasking. Results include inbound/outbound accuracy above 99.9 percent and labor productivity gains of 8-10 percent in the health and beauty DC and 3-5 percent elsewhere.
