Aðföng, the distribution arm of Iceland's Hagar retail group, replaced its heavily customized Navision warehouse module with Manhattan Associates Warehouse Management for Open Systems. The project used a phased rollout across frozen, chilled, and ambient zones while maintaining continuous service to Bonus, Hagkaup, and 10-11 stores. Nobex Supply Chain Broker enabled parallel operation of legacy and new systems during migration and later supported a version upgrade when Aðföng expanded into a second facility.

Key takeaways

Pick speed doubled and receiving/put-away rates increased after WMOS go-live

Nobex Supply Chain Broker allowed concurrent legacy and Manhattan WMS operation during cutover

Standard WMOS functionality reduced need for custom code and simplified future ERP replacement
